Hypo Zebra
The Hypo Zebra combines two intermediately inherited mutations: Hypo from Coastal Carpet Pythons (M. s. mcdowelli) and Zebra from Jungle Carpet Pythons (M. s. cheynei). This is a documented subspecies cross – a designer morph.
Hypo reduces melanin, shifting the palette toward lighter, warmer tones. Zebra adds its characteristic irregular transverse banding. Together, they produce a pastel-like appearance: dark bands appear tan or light brown instead of black, and the ground color is a lighter yellow-cream. The overall effect is understated compared to more complex combinations – a subtle, refined pairing.
Both mutations are intermediately inherited (one copy of each = visual). Super forms of both are possible.
