Zebra Jaguar
The Zebra Jaguar combines two intermediately inherited mutations: Zebra from Jungle Carpet Pythons (M. s. cheynei) and Jaguar from Coastal Carpet Pythons (M. s. mcdowelli). This is a documented subspecies cross – a designer morph.
Zebra adds bold transverse banding. Jaguar disrupts and fragments the pattern. The interaction produces a striking, high-contrast animal: broad Zebra bands are broken and opened by Jaguar's pattern disruption, creating a jagged, bold black-and-yellow pattern. The visual result is highly variable between individuals – no two Zebra Jaguars look alike. This is one of the most visually impactful pattern combinations in the Morelia spilota complex.
As with all Jaguar combinations, mild head wobble may be present – a neurological trait associated with the Jaguar mutation that does not affect the animal's quality of life.
