Albino (pure Darwin)
The pure Darwin Albino is the original Albino line – a tyrosinase-negative (T−) color morph maintained on a pure Morelia spilota variegata background without subspecies crossing. All Darwin Albinos trace back to a single founding female, "Blondie," discovered in a caravan park near Darwin in the 1990s.
Pure Darwin Albinos produce the most intense coloration of any Albino line: hatchlings emerge in vivid orange tones that gradually shift toward bright yellow and white as the animal matures. The clean white base color and high contrast are hallmarks of the undiluted variegata background.
As a pure subspecies animal carrying a proven recessive mutation, the pure Darwin Albino is the highest-quality foundation for multi-gene projects such as Sunglow, Snow, and Moonglow – and a documented lineage reference in any serious breeding program.
