Description:
The Albino Tiger combines the recessive Albino mutation from Darwin Carpet Pythons (M. s. variegata) with the polygenic Tiger pattern from Coastals (M. s. mcdowelli). This is a documented subspecies cross.
The Albino removes all dark pigment while the Tiger provides longitudinal dorsal striping – resulting in an amelanistic animal with warm yellow-orange stripes on a clean white base. The Tiger striping quality depends on the selective breeding history of the Tiger parent line.
Tiger is polygenic – there is no "het Tiger" or "Super Tiger." The striping is passed on through selective pairing over generations, not as a simple Mendelian trait. Tiger has no neurological issues.
