Granite Jaguar het Albino
This animal is a visual Granite Jaguar carrying the Albino allele in heterozygous form. Visually, Granite's pattern fragmentation combines with Jaguar's pattern disruption to dissolve banding almost completely – a lighter, highly irregular animal. The Albino het status is not visible and is determined through documented parentage.
Granite originates from Irian Jaya (M. s. harrisoni), Jaguar from Coastal (M. s. mcdowelli), and Albino from Darwin (M. s. variegata). This is a documented multi-subspecies cross involving three lineages.
The hidden Albino allele adds breeding value for producing Albino Granite Jaguars – a triple-morph combination where Albino removes all dark pigment from the already fragmented Granite Jaguar pattern. As with all Jaguar combinations, mild head wobble may be present – a neurological trait associated with the Jaguar mutation that does not affect the animal's quality of life.
