Albino (Redline)
The Albino (Redline) is a selectively bred Albino line distinguished by intensified red-orange pigmentation. "Redline" is not a separate genetic morph – it is a line selection within the Albino (T−) mutation, refined over generations for deeper warm-tone saturation. The underlying genetics are identical to any other Albino.
Redline Albinos typically display richer orange and red hues than standard Albinos, particularly as juveniles. The intensity of the warm tones depends on the individual's lineage history and can vary. As with all Albinos without a "pure Darwin" label, these animals have a mixed subspecies background.
In breeding, Redline Albinos function exactly like any other Albino – the Redline character is a visual quality passed on through selective pairing, not a Mendelian trait. They are compatible with all standard Albino combination projects such as Sunglow, Snow, and Moonglow.
