Jungle Zebra Jaguar
The Jungle Zebra Jaguar combines a Jungle Carpet Python background (M. s. cheynei) with two intermediately inherited mutations: Zebra (from cheynei) and Jaguar (from M. s. mcdowelli). The Zebra component is native to the Jungle subspecies, while Jaguar introduces Coastal genetics – making this a documented subspecies cross.
Zebra adds irregular transverse banding to the Jungle base. Jaguar disrupts and fragments that banding. Together on the high-contrast cheynei background, they produce a bold, open pattern with fragmented bands on a vivid yellow ground – highly variable between individuals. The Jungle background typically contributes stronger contrast than Coastal-based Zebra Jaguars.
As with all Jaguar combinations, mild head wobble may be present – a neurological trait associated with the Jaguar mutation that does not affect the animal's quality of life.
