Sunglow Jaguar
The Sunglow Jaguar combines three mutations: Hypo (intermediately inherited), Albino (recessive), and Jaguar (intermediately inherited). Hypo reduces melanin. Albino eliminates all remaining melanin. Jaguar disrupts and fragments the pattern. The result is a glowing orange-yellow animal with strongly reduced, fragmented pattern remnants – one of the most visually intense phenotypes in the Morelia spilota complex.
Hypo and Jaguar originate from Coastal (M. s. mcdowelli), Albino from Darwin (M. s. variegata). This is a documented subspecies cross. Sunglow = Hypo + Albino exclusively.
As with all Jaguar combinations, mild head wobble may be present – a neurological trait associated with the Jaguar mutation that does not affect the animal's quality of life.
