Axanthic het Granite
This Axanthic het Granite is visually identical to a standard Axanthic – silver-grey to charcoal with reduced yellow pigmentation. In addition, this animal carries the Granite allele in heterozygous form. Het status is not visible and is determined through documented parentage.
The hidden Granite allele opens the path to Axanthic Granite – a striking double-recessive combination with high-contrast monochromatic patterning. Paired with another Granite-carrying Axanthic, statistically 25% of offspring will be visual Axanthic Granites.
This animal has a mixed subspecies background.
