Axanthic Jaguar
The Axanthic Jaguar combines the recessive Axanthic mutation with the intermediately inherited Jaguar. The Axanthic removes yellow pigmentation while the Jaguar disrupts and fragments the dorsal pattern – resulting in a silver-black animal with a reduced, open pattern and no warm tones.
The Jaguar originated exclusively in Coastal Carpet Pythons (M. s. mcdowelli). This animal has a mixed subspecies background. The visual contrast between deep black fragments and clean silver ground makes this one of the more graphically striking Jaguar combinations.
As with all Jaguar combinations, mild head wobble may be present.
