Albino Zebra
The Albino Zebra combines the recessive Albino mutation from Darwin Carpet Pythons (M. s. variegata) with the intermediately inherited Zebra pattern from Jungle Carpet Pythons (M. s. cheynei). This is a documented subspecies cross.
Removing melanin entirely transforms the Zebra's fine transverse banding from black-and-yellow into vivid yellow-and-white – one of the most visually dramatic morph combinations in the carpet python complex. The banding is fully retained but expressed in amelanistic colors only. The homozygous form – an Albino Super Zebra – produces a near-patternless animal in uniform yellow to white.
As a combination of one recessive and one intermediately inherited trait, breeding outcomes are straightforward and predictable.
