This Granite het Axanthic is from a documented pure Irian Jaya lineage (M. s. harrisoni). Visually, it displays the characteristic Granite pattern fragmentation. Both Granite and the Papuan Axanthic line originate from M. s. harrisoni – this is one of the few double-recessive projects achievable without subspecies crossing. The pure IJ status means no subspecies crossing has occurred in this animal's documented lineage.
