Ghost

The Ghost results from combining Hypo and Axanthic – two genetic traits that together create a remarkably soft, silver-grey coloration.

It is one of the most balanced and elegant morphs within the Morelia spilota complex, known for its even lightening and subtle iridescent sheen.

Depending on the lineage, slight variations occur in tone – ranging from cool grey to faint cream hues.

In breeding, the Ghost forms the foundation of many bright lines and serves as the key component in advanced projects such as Moonglow (Hypo Snow) or Fullmoon (Super Hypo Snow).

Its stable genetics and calm appearance make it a preferred breeding partner for Hypo, Zebra, or Jaguar combinations.

At StarPythons, selection focuses on uniform coloration, clean structure, and the characteristic semi-translucent scale finish.

**Note:** Caramel Axanthic animals are sometimes mislabeled as Ghost.

This is genetically incorrect – only Hypo-based combinations produce true Ghosts.
