Hypo Jaguar
The Hypo Jaguar combines two intermediately inherited mutations from Coastal Carpet Pythons (M. s. mcdowelli). Hypo reduces melanin production, intensifying the warm golden ground color. Jaguar disrupts and fragments the dorsal pattern into isolated dark elements. Together, they produce a luminous golden animal with reduced, fragmented pattern – dark markings are both lighter (from Hypo) and more scattered (from Jaguar).
Both mutations originate from M. s. mcdowelli, making this a combination achievable without subspecies crossing. Without a "pure Coastal" label, this particular animal has a mixed subspecies background.
As with all Jaguar combinations, mild head wobble may be present – a neurological trait associated with the Jaguar mutation that does not affect the animal's quality of life.
