Hypo (pos Super)
This Hypo is labeled "pos Super" – possible Super Hypo (homozygous). Super Hypo carries two copies of the Hypo allele instead of one, resulting in dramatically reduced melanin: the animal is significantly lighter than a heterozygous Hypo, with warm tones dominating almost completely and minimal pattern contrast.
The "pos" designation indicates that this animal's phenotype is consistent with Super Hypo but has not been confirmed through breeding trials. Definitive confirmation requires pairing with a known non-Hypo animal: if all offspring are visual Hypos, the parent is confirmed Super. Hypo is intermediately inherited and originates from Coastal Carpet Pythons (M. s. mcdowelli).
Without a "pure Coastal" label, this animal has a mixed subspecies background. Super Hypo is the natural homozygous form of the Hypo allele – it is not a separate mutation.
