Hypo Jaguar dblhet Axanthic Granite
This animal is a visual Hypo Jaguar carrying both the Axanthic and Granite alleles in heterozygous form. Visually, it presents as a standard Hypo Jaguar – luminous golden tones with fragmented patterning. The Axanthic and Granite het status is not visible and is determined through documented parentage.
Hypo and Jaguar are intermediately inherited, both from Coastal (M. s. mcdowelli). Axanthic and Granite are recessive; Granite originates from Irian Jaya (M. s. harrisoni). This animal has a mixed subspecies background.
The double het status provides exceptional breeding value toward Ghost Granite Jaguar and other advanced multi-morph combinations. As with all Jaguar combinations, mild head wobble may be present – a neurological trait associated with the Jaguar mutation that does not affect the animal's quality of life.
