tplhet Snow Granite
This animal is triple heterozygous (tplhet) for Albino, Axanthic, and Granite – the three recessive components of Snow Granite. Visually, it appears as a normal carpet python. None of the three recessive alleles produces a visible phenotype in heterozygous form. Het status is determined through documented parentage.
Albino originates from Darwin (M. s. variegata), Granite from Irian Jaya (M. s. harrisoni), and Axanthic from Coastal or Papuan lineage. This is a documented multi-subspecies cross carrying genetic material from at least three lineages.
Paired with another tplhet Snow Granite, the statistical probability of a visual Snow Granite offspring is 1 in 64 (1.56%). This is the foundational building block for the triple-recessive Snow Granite project – one of the most complex breeding goals in the Morelia spilota complex.
