Albino het Granite
This Albino het Granite is visually identical to a standard Albino – the full amelanistic phenotype with vivid yellow, orange, and cream tones. In addition, this animal carries the Granite allele in heterozygous form. Het status is not visible and is determined through documented parentage.
The hidden Granite allele opens the path to Albino Granite – a double-recessive combination – and, with additional Axanthic genetics, toward the triple-recessive Snow Granite. Paired with another Albino het Granite, statistically 25% of offspring will be visual Albino Granites.
As with all Albinos without a "pure Darwin" label, this animal has a mixed subspecies background.
